Microperforation systems for cigarette paper and cigarette tipping paper, etc.

SOFTAL electronic GmbH has been developing and manufacturing systems for the electrostatic perforation of paper for the cigarette sub-contracting industry since the early 1970‘s. Electro-erosive perforation is based on local electrical discharge. The paper runs between two sets of opposite pin electrodes and is subjected to spark-over, creating pores with clean, smooth edges.

The generators for microperforation operate on the successful IGBT output stage principle, originally developed for our Corona generators.

Two different series are available, for the perforation of bobbins up to 80 mm wide, and for wide web material up to 1500 mm. Other requirements can also be accommodated. Both types of equipment are suitable for zone perforation and large-area perforation.
